Langtang Gosainkund Trekking, a scenic and cultural trek with combination exploring around the best sides of massive Langtang Himal range where adventure leads from North West to North East within less than two weeks.

An enjoyable and fascinating journey where all types of interested travelers can join in this fabulous adventure which leads you around Central Himalaya within scenic Langtang Himal and its verdant valley enclosed by array of snow-capped peaks.

Langtang Himal the closest mountain range from the capital Kathmandu which is of mere distance of 32 k.m. straight towards north which is also close to Tibet / China border where Langtang Himal forms a great barrier between Nepal and Tibet.

An interesting Langtang Gosainkund Trekking, where drive leads from Kathmandu to reach high hills village and town at Rasuwa district within Langtang Himal region, and then walking into nice and lovely cultural Tamang farm villages of great heritage.

As walk continues reaching in the mid of dense woodland lined with tall rhododendron-oaks-magnolia-pines and fir trees with some bamboo thickets where trekkers sometimes encounters elusive and rare red-panda with other wild-life.

Adventure at first part of the walk leads into beautiful and scenic Kyanjin within Langtang valley enclosed by tall peaks of Langtang Himal range, with time here to explore its high hills and villages, then our next journey leads you at popular and famous sacred Gosainkund.

Walking into lovely forest with eye catching scenery of mountains in views from Langtang-Jugal-Ganesh and Manaslu as far towards Annapurna range in the far western horizon, slowly walk leads highest into holy Gosainkund, a famous and renown pilgrimage place specially for Hindu religion, where thousands of devotee visits in the auspicious month of August during Full Moon.

A bathe in the holy lake belief is clears the sins of hundred lifetimes, from Gosainkund walk leads to cross the highest point of the adventure over Gosainkund / East Laurabina-La at above 4,609 m and 15,100 ft high.

From here on long descend to reach back into thick forest reaching around near Helambu areas where exciting and scenic walk of ups and down takes you near Kathmandu valley eastern rim at Chisapani Hill where you can capture stunning sunrise over chain of Himalayan mountain range, as walk leads back at Kathmandu with short drive from the road-head.

Day 01: Reach Kathmandu 1,345 m and then transfer to respective Hotels

On reaching at Kathmandu international airport received by our representative and guide, then transfer for short drive in the heart of Kathmandu city and to your hotels.

After checking into your pleasant rooms then join in for group briefing regarding Langtang Gosainkund treks with other useful information to make your stay in Nepal with us more enjoyable and worth-while.

Evening includes group dinner in a nice Nepalese restaurant with cultural programs as entertainment.

Day 02: In Kathmandu sightseeing tour and preparations for trek.

Morning after breakfast in the hotel, our tour guide will take you in the heart of Kathmandu city, for exciting historical and heritage tour of old Durbar (royal palace and courtyard) square of great importance.

Tour includes Temple of Kumari (Living young virgin Goddess) Kastamandap Temple where Kathmandu name derived from, a temple built with the wood of a single tree, tour of old palace during the reign of Malla and late Shah kings.

Afternoon tour of famous Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath and visit Bouddhanath Stupa, one of the largest dome shaped monument in Asia of Buddhist religion and culture.

After an exciting and interesting tour head back to hotel preparation for Langtang Gosainkund trek.

Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi 1,470 m via Trisuli and Dhunche town 1,950 - 06 hrs.

Morning starts with an interesting overland journey heading towards North-West on the highway to Langtang Himal, to reach Dhunche the headquarter town of Rasuwa district around Langtang, as drive leads past to Syabrubesi village to end the long exciting drive.

Day 04: Trek to Lama Hotel 2,200m - 06 hrs.

Beginning our walk from Syabrubesi where trail leads to a climb for a while but the rest of the walk on gradual winding uphill path into terraced farm fields and villages, as our route descends at a river side place near Bamboo, a small settlement.

After a short refreshing break, continue walk into cool forest within a river gorge as walk follows within cool shade of rhododendron and oaks forest, finally completing the day walk of six hours reaching a small place at Lama-Hotel for overnight stop within serene woodland.

Day 05: Trek to Langtang village 3, 307m - 05 hrs.

With refreshing overnight stop where morning walks leads higher at Ghore-tabela for lunch stop amidst lovely forest of pines, hemlocks and rhododendron from here onwards you can feel the altitude, with a break here trek continues on the trail to Langtang valley.

After an hour of pleasant walk in cool shade of woodland, on crossing a small stream leaving the tree line behind where walk leads to a climb for an hour, and then on good nice gradual path to Langtang village for overnight stop.

Day 06: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa 3,749 m - 04 hours.

From Langtang village, morning walk leads to a nice path and then on uphill trail for few hours following “mani-prayer wall” where walking clockwise direction a positive way in respect to Buddhist religion, walk leads further east as the valley opens up with views of snow capped peaks.

After few hours of gentle walk with views brings you at Kyanjin Gompa a charming and scenic spot with beautiful views of Langtang Lirung of above 7,000m and its icefall at close distance Kyanjin Gompa, surrounded by a ridge formed by glacial moraine of rocks and boulders.

Day 07: Rest day for acclimatization and for hike around

At leisure, and a rest day with time to explore its small interesting Cheese factory which was built and supported by Swiss Technical Assistance.

For energetic people hike to a high hill at Tsego-Ri or Kyngin Ri at above 4,700 m / 15,420ft adding more altitude on this adventure, rewards you with panorama of snow capped mountains.

Enjoy views of Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal (7,405 m), Langtang Lirung (7,234 m), Ghengu Liru (Langtang II 6,571m), Kimshun (6,745 m) and Shalbachum(6,918m), Chimsedang, Naya-Kanga or Ganja Chuli (5,846m), Gangchempo, Tilman's beautiful Fluted Peak, Jugal Himal and ending towards eastern horizon at Dorje Lakpa (6,980m).

Day 08: Trek to Lama Hotel 2, 350 m - 06 hrs.

After a wonderful time at Kyanjin, journey leads back on same route to Lama-Hotel a small settlement in the midst of the forest at the bank of upper Trisuli River.

Day 09: Trek to Upper / Thulo Syabru village 2,118m -06 hrs.

The trek today follows the same route for an hour, then after the bridge the walk is pleasant through the rain and bamboo forest, after leaving the river way down below, the climb starts uphill through the landslide bit of rocks and boulders, passing through farm terraces to Upper Syabru is reached also called Thulo Syabru means bigger, the village with row of houses located on a ridge with a monastery.

Day 10: Trek to Singh Gompa 3,254m or Chandanbari - 05 hrs.

Morning walk leads uphill on winding path above the monastery and then gaining more height facing views of Ganesh-Himal, Manaslu, Langtang and Annapurna range towards far west, after a few refreshing stops at teahouses on route, journey continues with an hour uphill from the farmlands and into cool alpine forest and then reaching at Sing Gompa for overnight stop near its old monastery.

Day 11: Trek to Gosainkund 4,381 m - 05 hrs.

Trek leads with fabulous views of peaks with Langtang and Ganesh-Himal range towards North West along with Manaslu and Annapurna range, walking higher for an hour within oaks, pines and rhododendron forest.

After a refreshing stop with great views, continue climb after leaving behind tree lines and green vegetation behind for dwarf rhododendron, juniper and alpine shrubs bushes.
The path unwinds past few teahouses and lodge at Laurabina, which means a place with walking sticks, during auspicious time of August in full moon as per the Nepali Luna calendar, the pilgrims visits Gosainkund pond for ritual bathe and dip belief it delivers one into paradise and drink of its holy water relinquishes the sins of a hundred lifetimes) Hindu pilgrims leaves their walking stick here so the name Laurabina.

From here short descend and up reaching across Saraswati and Bhairav kund after a shortl climb brings you at overnight stop around sacred Gosainkund and its glacial pond.

Day 12: Trek to Ghopte Odar 3,566m via Gosainkund pass or Laurabina-La 4,609 m.

From Gosainkund a gradual walk on a small path along pond, and then climb near a small creek in between rocks and boulders, as the walk leads close to a small pond of Surjakund the trail here is more gradual with winding up to Gosainkund pass or East Laurabina La the highest spot of the adventure.

After the top, a long descend to Phedi (bottom) at 3,694 m few teahouses, a possible lunch stop and then our journey continues east towards Helambu region and back into green vegetations of junipers, rhododendron and then reaching at Ghopte (meaning overhanging rocks) for overnight stop.

Day 13: Trek to Kutumsang 2,445m via - 06 hrs.

After walking around complete wilderness, walk from here trails joins of Helambu and Kathmandu; trek is pleasant into forest for an hour, with an hour uphill to Tharepati 3,597m.

A nice spot situated on a ridge overlooking views of peaks with Jugal Himal range and Ganesh-Manaslu towards west.

From here descent to Mangeghot, a nice place with grassy field, with an Nepal Army Barrack from here walking back into farm fields and to Kutumsang for overnight stop, this village with Sherpa, Hyalmo and Tamang hill tribes.

Day 14: Trek to Chisapani 2,195m via Gul Bhanjyang 2,125m - 07 hrs.

Today a long day walk to scenic Chisopani, as the morning leads on winding path with few ups and downhill walks passing many rural farm areas and villages to reach at Gul-Bhanjyang located on a ridge top. After a refreshing break continues walk on nice and pleasant trail past farm villagesto reach at a nice Pati Bhanjayang village, from this village with short climb to our last overnight stop at Chisopani, a nice and scenic small village close to northern hill of Kathmandu Valley rim.

A picturesque spot rewards you with stunning sunrise views over range of peaks from Jugal Himal range towards north east and Ganesh Himal-Manaslu and Annapurna range towards west.

Day 15: Walk to Sundarijal 1,380m and drive to Kathmandu.

Our last day of this wonderful adventure as the morning walk leads into lovley forest and farmlands after a few hours of gradual walk heading at the ridge top of Burlang and Chepu Bhanjyang at 2,438 m high with views of Kathmandu Valley, from here descend to Sundarijal (meaning beautiful water) a lovely spot with cool patch of forest with monkeys and fresh streams.

Sundarijal, a small farm town from here drive back to Kathmandu after an enjoyable and great moment on Langtang & Gosainkund trekking, as the drive leads past Jhorpati and Bouddhanath following the busy city road for some times and then back to your hotel in Kathmandu.

Afternoon free at leisure for shopping souvenirs, evening farewell group dinner in nice Nepalese restaurants with Folk culture programs as entertainment.

Morning an early drive back to Kathmandu on same interesting highway with exciting moments as drive leads through rural farm villages and towns with views of mountains after six hours journey ending at Kathmandu, and then transfer to your respective hotels.

Day 16: In Kathmandu for individual activities and optional tour.

In Kathmandu reserved this extra day for you to enjoy individual activities and shopping souvenirs or join in another exciting tour around Kathmandu-Patan / Lalitpur and Bhaktapur of great interest.

Day 17: Depart for International flights homeward bound.

Final and last day in Nepal, country of high Himalaya and varied culture, after a memorable experience and great scenic adventure on Langtang Gosainkund trekking, with your time for international flight our staff transfer you to the airport for homeward bound or to your next port of call and respective destinations.
