Around Manaslu Trekking, an adventure that leads you within world’s eight highest Mt. Manaslu, towers high at 8,163 m and 26,781 ft with its satellite peaks Boudha Himal, Himalchuli and many lesser ones that make massive Manaslu Himalaya range.The mountain was first conquered by Japanese Expedition way back in 1956 on May 9th with support of Nepalese Sherpa guide Gyalzen Norbu Sherpa, since then it was closed for outside visitors.

Beginning our adventure Around Manaslu trekking taking an exciting long drive to reach Nepal Mid West at low warm areas of Gorkha, where trek follows raging Buri-Gandaki River right up to its near glacial source at Sama-Gaon and Larke Phedi.Walk continues higher up crossing few bridges and into lovely farm villages of Jagat, Philm and unto Dyang reaching at cooler alpine areas facing views of Manaslu as far towards Ganesh in the east and Annapurna, Lamjung towards west.

Then entering a wide valley reaching at charming Lo and Sama Gaon where you will be fascinated with its age-old culture and custom similar to Tibetans.Where border to Tibet lies at mere distance on the ancient Trans-Himalayan Salt and Caravan Route of Nepal and Tibet. After an interesting time at Sama-Gaon with acclimatization days with fabulous views of Manaslu, that dominates throughout the walks to reach at Larke Phedi or Dharmasala located beneath the high Larke-La pass.

Next morning climb towards Larke-La pass facing views of whole Manaslu range with Larke Peak and mountains of Manang area, then on long downhill back into forest at Bhimthang, and towards lovely large village at Dharapani for the drive back to Kathmandu after a marvelous adventure on Around Manaslu Trekking.

Day 01: Reach Kathmandu 1,345 m and then transfer to respective Hotels

On reaching at Kathmandu international airport received by our representative and guide, then transfer for short drive in the heart of Kathmandu city and to your hotels.After checking into your pleasant rooms then join in for group briefing regarding Manaslu treks with other useful information to make your stay in Nepal with us more enjoyable and worth-while.Evening includes group dinner in a nice Nepalese restaurant with cultural programs as entertainment.

Day 02: In Kathmandu sightseeing tour and preparations for Manaslu trek.

Morning after breakfast in the hotel, our tour guide will take you in the heart of Kathmandu city, for exciting historical and heritage tour of old Durbar (royal palace and courtyard) square of great importance.Tour includes Temple of Kumari (Living young virgin Goddess) Kastamandap Temple where Kathmandu name derived from, a temple built with the wood of a single tree, tour of old palace during the reign of Malla and late Shah kings.

Day 03: Drive to Soti-Khola730 m via Arughat - 07 hrs.

Starting our wonderful adventure Around Manaslu trekking with long and exciting drive towards Nepal Mid West at Gorkha district in Arughat, a moderate size town with sub-tropical climate, our journey continues on dirt road for another hour reaching at Soti-Khola for first overnight stop in a small farm village, which is slowly developing into a town due to motorable road.

Day 04: Trek to Machha-Khola 930m - 06 hrs.

First day walk follows Buri-Gandaki River upstream heading into a gorge within forest, as walks climb to cool areas and then walk for near six hours to our overnight stop at Machha-Khola.A fair size farm village, where Maccha means Fish and Khola for stream, a popular spot for fishing silver craps and other varieties of fish found in this Himalayan fresh stream.

Day 05: Trek to Jagat 1,410m - 06 hrs.

From fishing villages, morning walk follows Buri-Gandaki River upstream for some hours, as walk heads to Khorla-Beshi a small farm village and then on winding trail to reach at Tatopani village with natural “Hot Spring,” as time permits enjoy the warm refreshing bathe then walk uphill to Jagat village for overnight stop. Jagat a nice large village with shops and stores, nice simple lodges enjoy the afternoon walking around this nice village.

Day 06: Trek to Dyang 1,800 m - 06 hrs.

After pleasant stop at Jagat, journey continues higher walking past number of farm villages and then on downhill to cross over a bridge to reach at Nagjet and Philim, a large village with many scattered farm houses. From Philim walk leads around farm terraces of golden fields of wheat’s and barley, then a climb on rocky ridge top into bamboo forest area to our overnight stop at Dyang village.

Day 07: Trek to Ghap 2,160 m - 04 hrs

Morning walk from Dyang leads to cooler area where you can feel rise in elevation, as our route enters into higher Himalayan region and then with short downhill to a river side to reach at Bihi Bazaar a small village near a river side. From here onwards encountering more villages of strong Tibetan influence in culture and way of daily life, walk leads on gentle trail with few short ups and downs till Ghap village is reached for overnight stop.

Day 08: Trek to Lo Gaon 3,180 m - 06 hrs.

From Ghap village with nice good walk following Burigandaki River, then crossing this river through small farm villages and cultivated farm fields of barley, wheat and millets to reach at Numrung village with first close views of Mt. Manaslu North Face and adjoining peaks. Walk continues passing few villages of Banjham, Lhi and Sho, then as altitude gains with an hour up to Shrip village to Lo Gaon for overnight stop in a nice cozy lodge.

Day 09: Trek to Sama Gaon 3,530 m - 05 hrs

After Lo Gaon tree lines fades only for few short juniper bushes and some willow trees, walk leads on nice path with views of peaks and finally the day ends at Sama Gaon for overnight stop, this is a large mountain village located on route Manaslu base camp, Larke-la pass and to Tibet border.

Day 10: Rest day in Sama Gaon for acclimatization.

Rest day in Sama Gaon for acclimatization before heading higher area of Manaslu and at Larke-La, in Sama Gaon explore this lovely interesting village with walk to some view points.

Day 11: Trek to Samdu 3,780m -05 hrs.

After a nice stop at Sama Gaon, our route leads to a climb to Samdu and onward, walk to Samdu is not too far can be done in few hours, due to high altitude within dry air makes the walk slower.Our route slowly leads at Samdu village which is the last village before Larke-la base and pass, at Samdu overnight in this interesting village of strong Tibetan influence due to its closeness to the border of Tibet, where trade still exists.

Day 12: Trek to Larke Phedi a base camp for Larke Peak and pass at 4,450 m.

From Samdu walk leads to more barren areas, adventure begins crossing Gyala Khola, then ascending to the ridge where there is a ruins of a village known as Larke Bazaar.
This village once thrived on trade with Tibet over nearby Gya La, a trade which at present has diminished but few compared to early times. Walk nears Larke Glacier reaching at Duwang, where there is a lodge serving travelers crossing Larke- La, overnight camp is just on a clearing.

Day 13: Traverse Larke pass at 5,106 m and descend to Bhimtang - 08 hours.

Starting early morning to reach over Larke-la Pass above 5,106 m, where walk first heads with gradual winding uphill, and then steep up to reach the highest point of the adventure on top Larke-La festooned with hundreds of Buddhist colorful prayer flags and marked with stones piles.From the top offers excellent views of Himlung, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru and Annapurna II, after a great moment a long descend leads you over snow and scree, to reach a valley to Larcia. Further walk on moraine leads to Tambuche at 3,900m from here short walk to our overnight stop at Bhimtang, a lovely place on a wide valley with number of good lodge to stay.

Day 14: Trek to Gho 2,560 m - 05 hrs.

After a long day walk to Bhimtang previous day, today an easy trek from here onward to Dharapani past thick forested area of pines, rhododendron trees with view of snow peaks. From Bhimtang descend to a valley of Burdin Khola which is the base of west side of Manaslu, from a ridge with excellent view of Manaslu towards south east with Annapurna II in the south west. Our route leads over Dudh Khola, where descend follows a trail into a narrow valley within forest to reach our overnight stop amidst forest surrounding in perfect tranquility after 5 hours of good walk.

Day 15: Trek to Dharapani village 1,943m. 5-6 hours.

From here our last day walk of the adventure leads downhill into forest passing small summer settlement and then climb on a terraced fields to Karche La, and then down to Marysangdi River. After few hours walk reaching at Tilje village following Dudh (milky) river downstream, passing number of villages, including Thonje. From Tilje an hour and last climb of the journey on crossing a bridge and then joining at main trail of Annapurna circuit in Dharapani village. Dharapani a lovely large village will be a civilization after being in complete wilderness, where one can celebrate with a beer and buy hot shower from local lodge.

Day 16: Drive to Kathmandu and then transfer to your hotels - 07 hrs.

Last day on high hills and mountains of Nepal Mid-West, after a marvelous experience and adventure around Manaslu where morning drive leads you back at Kathmandu.
Driving along farm villages and terraced fields to reach a large town of Besisar and then on good road towards Kathmandu, where our memorable adventure completes.

Day 17: In Kathmandu for individual activities and optional tour.

In Kathmandu reserved this extra day for you to enjoy individual activities and shopping souvenirs or join in another exciting tour around Kathmandu-Patan / Lalitpur and Bhaktapur of great interest.

Day 18: Depart for International flights homeward bound.

Final and last day in Nepal, country of high Himalaya and varied culture, after a memorable experience and great scenic adventure on Around Manaslu trekking, with your time for international flight our staff transfer you to the airport for  homeward bound or to your next port of call and respective destinations.
