A great journey where you can experience awesome adventure with exciting moments surrounded by high snow capped peaks of Shingri, Ganesh and Manaslu Himalaya range and beyond where isolated villages of Mu and Rachen Gompa (monastery) located. Starting our marvelous Tsum Valley Trekking, taking a long scenic, exciting overland drive from Kathmandu to reach low warm areas of Gorkha, around Mid-West Nepal one of the fertile valleys for agriculture with farm terraced.

As walk follows on Manaslu route for few days heading past lovely villages of Machha-Khola, Tatopani, Jagat and Philm and then our route diverts further North East towards hidden valley of Tsum. After walking past beautiful forested areas of rhododendron-pines-oaks and fir tree lines as vegetation fades for few alpine shrubs and bush of azalea (dwarf rhododendron), Burberry and juniper.

Following a quiet peaceful path to reach high above into remote Mu-Gompa with wonderful scenery of surrounding landscapes and peaks, enjoying a visit into monastery interior enriched with ancient artifacts and images of Buddha and other great priest of Buddhism. Finally our adventure completes walking back on the same route to Soti-Khola allowing you to see more of this beautiful country its simple and happy traditional life of farm villagers, where walk ends at Soti-Khola for the drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Reach Kathmandu 1,345 m and then transfer to respective Hotels

On reaching at Kathmandu international airport received by our representative and guide, then transfer for short drive in the heart of Kathmandu city and to your hotels.

After checking into your pleasant rooms then join in for group briefing regarding Tsum Valley treks with other useful information to make your stay in Nepal with us more enjoyable and worth-while.

Evening includes group dinner in a nice Nepalese restaurant with cultural programs as entertainment.

Day 02: In Kathmandu sightseeing tour and preparations for Manaslu trek.

Morning after breakfast in the hotel, our tour guide will take you in the heart of Kathmandu city, for exciting historical and heritage tour of old Durbar (royal palace and courtyard) square of great importance.

Tour includes Temple of Kumari (Living young virgin Goddess) Kastamandap Temple where Kathmandu name derived from, a temple built with the wood of a single tree, tour of old palace during the reign of Malla and late Shah kings.

As tour continues towards famed landmark of Nepal at Swayambhunath Stupa of more than 2,500 years old a Buddhist Chaitya or Stupa, facing all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha, afternoon tour of famous Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath and visit Bouddhanath Stupa, one of the largest dome shaped monument in Asia of Buddhist religion and culture.

After an exciting and interesting tour head back to hotel preparation for Tsum Valley Trekking next morning.

Day 03: Drive to Soti-Khola730 m via Arughat - 07 hrs.

Starting our wonderful adventure Tsum Valley trekking with long and exciting drive towards Nepal Mid West at Gorkha district in Arughat, a moderate size town with sub-tropical climate, our journey continues on dirt road for another hour reaching at Soti-Khola for first overnight stop in a small farm village, which is slowly developing into a town due to motorable road.

Day 04: Trek to Machha-Khola 930m - 06 hrs.

First day walk follows Buri-Gandaki River upstream heading into a gorge within forest, as walks climb to cool areas and then walk for near six hours
to our overnight stop at Machha-Khola. A fair size farm village, where Maccha means Fish and Khola for stream, a popular spot for fishing silver craps and other varieties of fish found in this Himalayan fresh stream.

Day 05: Trek to Jagat 1,410m - 06 hrs.

From fishing villages, morning walk follows Buri-Gandaki River upstream for some hours, as walk heads to Khorla-Beshi a small farm village and then on winding trail to reach at Tatopani village with natural “Hot Spring,” as time permits enjoy the warm refreshing bathe then walk uphill to Jagat village for overnight stop.
Jagat a nice large village with shops and stores, nice simple lodges enjoy the afternoon walking around this nice village.

Day 06: Trek to Lakuwa 2,2400m - 05 hrs.

From Jagat, morning walk leads to higher areas passing scattered farm villages with short climb and downhill to cross over a bridge to reach at Nagjet and Philim, a large village with spread-out farm houses. After Philim walk through farm terraces of golden fields of wheat’s and barley, then a climb on rocky ridge top into bamboo forest area to our overnight stop at Lakuwa on leaving the main trail of Manaslu trekking route.

Day 07: Trek to Chumling 2,386 m - 06 hours.

After Lakuwa village and leaving the Burigandkai River for a week, our walk heads towards Tsum valley into the valley of happiness, as our route enters narrow gorge then with short descend and uphill climb into rhododendron and pine tree forest walking past small farm villages then climbing above Lungwa Khola to reach at Chumling village for first overnight in Tsum Valley.

Day 08: Trek to Chokhan-paro 3,010 m - 05 hours.

From here altitude slowly gains with the mountain views of Ganesh Himal peaks, as the villages and landscapes looks similar to Tibetan windswept plateau. Morning walks with downhill to cross a bridge over Smatiking Khola, with views of Ganesh Himal also known as Yangra at 7,422 m high, walk slowly leads at Chokhan-paro village for overnight stop.

Day 09: Trek to Nele 3,361m with visit of Milarepa cave - 07 hours.

After Chokan-paro heading closer at upper Tsum area to Nele (Ne-lay) starting with a climb onto open valley and windswept country with few small trees that survives around this arid terrain.
Walk continues uphill with views of Ganesh and Manaslu Himal, after a pleasant walk reach at Nele on the way with visit to an old cave of 11th Centaury Saint Milarepa famous and popular among Buddhist as poet, singer, tantric guru his folk-tales and songs are still remembered by Tibetans and Buddhist alike.

Day 10: Trek to Mu Gompa 3,700 m - 04 hours.

Morning walk starts on reaching the highest point at Mu Gompa and main destination of this adventure, as the walk continues to climb on high arid terrain offering views of high peaks on the way to Mu Gompa for overnight stop.

Day 11: Rest day at Mu Gompa to explore the local village and monastery.

At Mu Gompa free day to explore the unexplored areas around high valley of Tsum visit its traditional villages and interesting old Mu Gompa with ancient antique scrolls, statue and relics this is one of the most important monastery of Tsum and Manaslu area.
The village of upper Tsum located on route Tibet border, which is least frequented by other trekkers and adventurer, here enjoy the scenery and culture in complete of natural surrounding within total bliss.

Day 12: Trek to Rachen Gompa 3,240 m - 05 hours.

After an interesting and marvelous time at Mu Gompa, our return journey leads to another impressive monastery at Rachen Gompa, walking on nice trails with some short climbs and downs passing few small scattered farm villages of cattle herders to reach at Rachen Gompa for overnight stop, afternoon visit Rachen monastery which treasures historical and religious artifacts and important statues of famous Gurus with idol of Sakaymuni Buddha.

Day 13: Trek back to Chumling 2,386 m - 06 hours.

Today our last day around Tsum valley, as the morning walk leads to a long descend to Chumling village passing farm areas and then back into tree lines, after a long downhill walk of 6 hours reaching at Chumling village for last overnight stop around Tsum.

Day 14: Trek to Philim 1,590 m - 07 hrs

From Chumling village, morning walk downhill following river downstream with views of waterfalls then reaching villages of Samba, Tingding Chhupyang till our walk ends at Philim village for overnight stop. This is a nice farm village with school supported by Japanese (as Mt. Manaslu was first climbed by Japanese so this area is a favorite among Japanese)

Day 15: Trek to Tatopani 1, 240 m - 06 hours.

From here onwards on warmer area with paddy fields, after a breakfast walk leads to Tatopani following Buri Gandaki River through several small villages of Nagjet, Sidibas Bazaar and Jagat. Walk further descends at Yaruphant, then to lower area with dramatic change in vegetation, finally ending six hours walk to our overnight stop at Tatopani a small farm village with hot spring as Tatopani in Nepali means 'hot water', afternoon enjoy the hot springs and relax. The local believes that the spring water have a natural power to cure various disease and wounds.

Day 16: Trek to Soti Khola 730 m - 06 hours. 

After a nice time at Tatopani and hot spring, morning walk leads to Soti Khola walking along the Budhi Gandaki River downstream, after hours of good walk reaching at Gurung village of Labubesi, from here walk further through terraced fields and waterfalls to reach our last overnight stop at Soti-khola.

Day 17: Drive to Kathmandu and then transfer to your hotels - 07 hrs.

Last day on high hills and mountains of Nepal Mid-West, after a marvelous experience and adventure on Tsum Valley where morning drive leads you back at Kathmandu.
Driving along farm villages and terraced fields to reach a large town of Arughat and then on good road towards Kathmandu, where our memorable adventure completes.
Late afternoon free at leisure to relax after great walks on remote areas of Tsum Valley trekking.

Day 18: In Kathmandu for individual activities and optional tour.

In Kathmandu reserved this extra day for you to enjoy individual activities and shopping souvenirs or join in another exciting tour around Kathmandu-Patan / Lalitpur and Bhaktapur of great interest.

Day 19: Depart for International flights homeward bound.

Final and last day in Nepal, country of high Himalaya and varied culture, after a memorable experience and great scenic adventure on Tsum Valley trekking, with your time for international flight our staff transfer you to the airport for  homeward bound or to your next port of call and respective destinations.
