Jomsom Muktinath Trekking, a moderate adventure that takes you around scenic and most beautiful places of Nepal Mid to Far North West, within charming villages of Ghorepani, Tatopani, Ghasa, Kalapani, Tukuche and Marpha on ancient Trans Himalaya Salt Trade and Caravan Trail of Nepal and Tibet.
Jomsom Muktinath Trekking, where all types of interested people can join in this marvelous walks without any problem of altitude sickness, the highest point of the trek will be at scenic and holy Muktinath Temple premises at above 3,800 m high. A wonderful walk in the comfort of nice and cozy lodges all along the way, where walks leads through world deepest gorge at Kali-Gandaki River valley formed by massive peaks of Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mt. Annapurna.

Starting Jomsom Muktinath Trekking from beautiful Pokhara city and its scenic valley blessed with natural wonders of mountains and lakes, where walk leads into high green hills covered with tall rhododendron (national flower of Nepal), oaks, magnolia and pine forest. As walk heads higher past nice mountain villages with impressive culture of old custom and traditional farm life to reach at famous Ghorepani and hike to Poon Hill for spectacular sunrise over array of Western Himalaya with Dhaulagiri-Annapurna and Manaslu including majestic Machhapuchare Himal the Fish Tail peak. From Ghorepani down to warm areas at Tatopani with natural hot-spring to enjoy refreshing bathe and then heading to cooler areas around Thakali villages of Ghasa and onward to Jomsom via charming village of Marpha famous for delicious apples and products.
Slowly as tree lines fades entering into windswept valley at Jomsom to reach at Kagbeni an interesting village the door to Upper Mustang where the old Trade Route continues to Upper Mustang and beyond.

Our final walk of the adventure leads up on winding trail to reach at famous pilgrimage and holy spot at Muktinath with time to visit and worship the main idol of Muktinath manifestations of Lord Vishnu one of the three great Gods of Hindu religion. At Muktinath along with holy visit overlooking grand views of snow capped peaks and then back at Jomsom, the headquarter town of Mustang district where a short panoramic flight takes you to beautiful Pokhara on completing marvelous journey to Jomsom Muktinath Trekking.

Day 01: Reach Kathmandu 1,345 m and then transfer to respective Hotels

On reaching at Kathmandu international airport received by our representative and guide, then transfer for short drive in the heart of Kathmandu city and to your hotels. After checking into your pleasant rooms then join in for group briefing regarding Jomsom Muktinath treks with other useful information to make your stay in Nepal with us more enjoyable and worth-while. Evening includes group dinner in a nice Nepalese restaurant with cultural programs as entertainment.

Day 02: In Kathmandu sightseeing tour and preparations for treks.

Morning after breakfast in the hotel, our tour guide will take you in the heart of Kathmandu city, for exciting historical and heritage tour of old Durbar (royal palace and courtyard) square of great importance. Tour includes Temple of Kumari (Living young virgin Goddess) Kastamandap Temple where Kathmandu name derived from, a temple built with the wood of a single tree, tour of old palace during the reign of Malla and late Shah kings. Day 03: Drive to Pokhara 820m (220 k.m) - 06 hrs journey.

Morning exciting drive to Nepal Mid West at Pokhara where journey leads on Nepal most busy and interesting highway, where drive leads for near six hours to reach Pokhara, and then transfer to respective hotels by the Phewa Lake. Afternoon with time for short walks around the lakeside full of good restaurants-shops-
and stores with excellent hotels.

Day 04: Drive to Bhirethati and trek to Ulleri 1,670 m via Tirkhedhunga 1,435 m - 02 hrs drive / 04 hrs walk.

After a wonderful stop at scenic and beautiful Pokhara facing views of Annapurna Himal and Machhapuchare peaks 'Fish Tail', after breakfast heading beyond Pokhara valley to start our first day walk. Drive leads along with grand views of Annapurna past farm villages and towns and then following Modi River upstream to reach at Bhirethati one of the charming village within Annapurna region, from here our first day starts on slow winding trail with uphill to Hille and then at Tirkhedhunga overlooking cascading waterfalls. From here walk starts with a climb on nice paved stone steps to reach at Ulleri a large and typical Hill village, inhabited mostly by Gurung tribes with thatched and slated roofs offering views of Machhapuchare Himal with Annapurna South and Huinchuli peaks.

Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani 2,840 m - 05 hrs.

From here on gradual winding up trail to reach at Ghorepani as walk leads into lovely alpine woodland of rhododendron and pine trees. After a great pleasant walk reaching at Ghorepani for next morning hike to Poon Hill, Ghorepani home of Poon people of Magar origin tribe, an ethnic hill tribes of Nepal famous as Gorkha soldiers in UK-India and other foreign countries. This village with many good lodges offers marvelous views of Dhaulagiri-Tukuche-Nilgiri’s and Annapurna Himalayan mountains.

Day 06: Morning Hike to Poon Hill 3,210 m and trek to Tatopani 1,190 m -06 hrs.

Early morning before breakfast, hike up for an hour on top scenic Poon Hill at above 3,210 m our highest spot of this wonderful trekking. From Poon Hill catch striking sunrise views of panorama of mountains which includes Dhaulagiri-Tukuche-Nilgiri’s-Annapurna Fang (Vara Shikar) Annapurna range of peaks with majestic Machhapuchare Himal 'Fish Tail' the unclimbed and virgin peaks of Himalaya. View includes Mt. Manaslu with Lamjung extending towards Ganesh Himal due east horizon, after a marvelous photo session head back to Ghorepani for breakfast and carry on trekking downhill into beautiful woods of rhododendron trees with views of mountains.
Finally as walk leads to long descend past Chitre and Sikha villages within forested areas with grand views of Dhaulagiri Himalaya to reach at low warm areas at Tatopani village with refreshing natural hot-spring to enjoy.

Day 07: Trek to Ghasa 2,130 m - 06 hrs.

Morning walk leads on the same motorable road for sometimes heading with a climb past Dhana and beautiful waterfall of Rupsi Charo, slowly walk enters into cooler alpine woodland then reaching a nice Thakali village at Ghasa, the starting point of Mustang district.

Day 08: Trek to Marpha 2,670 m - 06 hrs.

After a pleasant overnight stop at Ghasa where morning walk leads uphill into cool serene forested areas for sometimes to reach at a small settlement in Lete with few shops and lodge. From here a short walk to nice Kalapani village with fabulous views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri on both side of the trail, as walk leads past world deepest gorge of Kali-Gandaki, where our route leads into a wide river valley to reach pretty Tukuche village beneath towering Dhaulagiri and Tukuche peaks with Nilgiri’s. With refreshing stops walk continues for another hour to reach one of most charming village at Marpha with white washed houses and neat paved streets. The area around Marpha and to Jomsom famous for delicious apples, often known as Apple Pie Trail overnight in this lovely Thakali village.

Day 09: Trek to Kagbeni 2,870 m via Jomsom 2,715 m - 06 hrs.

From Marpha heading higher into windswept dry country with an hour or more walk to Jomsom the headquarter town of whole Mustang area, and the hub of Thakali people with a small airstrip that takes you to Pokhara at the end of trek. After a break here walk heads towards Kali-Gandaki River valley, a good walk of 2-3 hours reaches you at Kagbeni village, where strong influence of Tibetan culture dominates from here onward. Kagbeni is the start and end point of Upper Mustang trekking and route to Tibet border by Karo-la pass. Kagbeni an interesting village of strong Tibetan influence in culture, traditions and way of daily life, afternoon time to explore this impressive village and to observe the local people and around its old monastery.

Day 10: Trek to Muktinath 3, 760 m - 04 hrs.

Our morning walk starts with steep climb on deserted landscape, caves, old Tibetan style villages, apple gardens, yak and sheep grazing land within peaceful and happy local folk of Jharkot village where we can take a tour of its old and interesting monastery believed to be built around 15th Century. From here our walk continues for another hour towards Muktinath following a steeply ascending path to reach at Rani Pauwa near the holy temple premises of Muktinath. Muktinath an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhist, here you can witness natural flames In the heart of this sunny, magical valley of Muktinath, one of the most sacred of pilgrimage places of Nepal and Himalaya region. Here, the natural elements are displayed in miraculous form-flickering blue flames of natural methane gas burn on water, stone and earth in an offering said to have been first lighted by Brahma, the Hindu creator.

Overnight in one of its many good and cozy lodges overlooking views of Dhaulagiri-Tukuche and Nilgiris peaks this place located on route famous and popular Annapurna circuit trekking trail. Here with time to visit the holy Muktinath Temple meaning ‘Liberty or Nirvana’ with its sacred old 108 water spouts believed as one of the source of great Kaligandaki River.

Day 11: Trek to Jomsom 2,715 m - 04 hrs.

Morning catching the wonderful views of snowcapped peaks our last day walk leads downhill to valley floor at Kaligandaki River valley near at Ekle Bhatti, from retrace the journey back to Jomsom with time in the afternoon to explore this interesting town of Thakali people, who were the early traders with Tibet.

Day 12: Fly to Pokhara and transfer to hotel.

Early morning after breakfast where sweeping 22 minutes scenic flight to land at Pokhara with grand views of peaks, on reaching Pokhara airport transfer to respective hotels by the lake Phewa. After lunch sightseeing tour around Pokhara with Devi’s Fall (a massive cascading waterfalls), Guptswor Cave, Vindhyabashini temple and white Seti River and its deep gorge. Rest of the day enjoy walk along the Phewa Lake or take a boat ride around the lake.

Day 13: Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels.

Morning an early drive back to Kathmandu on same interesting highway with exciting moments as drive leads through rural farm villages and towns with views of mountains after six hours journey ending at Kathmandu, and then transfer to your respective hotels.

Day 14: Depart for International flights homeward bound.

Final and last day in Nepal, country of high Himalaya and varied culture, after a memorable experience and great scenic adventure on Jomsom Muktinath trekking, with your time for international flight our staff transfer you to the airport for homeward bound or to your next port of call and respective destinations.
