Chulu East Peak Climbing Adventure takes you atop its summit at the height of 6,584 m and 21,727 ft high, listed as tallest trekking peaks of Nepal by NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association).

A marvelous journey with full of views of dramatic and unique landscapes including high peaks of Annapurna-Chulus-Manaslu and Dhaulagiri range from the start to an end of the adventure that makes this trip one of the most fascinating walk and climb around whole Himalaya range.

Chulu East Peak Climbing Adventure, where grade taken from world famous and popular French and Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification Systems the climb as PD + means ‘Per Difficule’ a straight forward climb with some technical skill required on route summit of Chulu East Peak.

Starting Chulu East Peak Climbing Adventure taking a scenic and exciting overland journey to reach low warmer areas of Nepal Mid-West and then following Marysangdi River upstream to its glacial source at Manang valley, where our route diverts from the main trekking trails of Annapurna Circuit for some days for adventure and climb to Chulu East Peak.

The climb is determined after much walking exercise and acclimatization days before getting ready for the long haul to the summit of Chulu East Peak, where walk and climb leads you to moraine-ice and glaciers with deep snow in some section of the climb, where our guide will lead you safe and sound to the top.

Enjoy the freedom being on the top with exclusive panorama of other Chulu peaks with Pisang peaks and whole range of Damodar and Annapurna Himalaya then descend to Manang village on the main trails of Annapurna circuit route to reach high Thorang-la pass unto Mustang area at holy Muktinath.

Holy Muktinath a sacred pilgrimage spot for both Hindu and Buddhist offers grand views of Dhaulagiri-Tukuche-Nilgiri’s peaks, at Muktinath walk and climb completes taking a short drive to Kaligandaki River valley at Jomsom; headquarter town of Mustang district and hub of Thakali people.

From Jomsom an early morning flight to land at picturesque Pokhara with overnight by the serene Phewa Lake to conclude our fabulous and memorable journey with awesome experience on Chulu East Peak Climbing Adventure.

Day 04: Trek to Jagat 1,290 m via Syange 1,100m - 06 hrs.

Day 01: Reach Kathmandu 1,345 m and then transfer to respective Hotels

On reaching at Kathmandu international airport received by our representative and guide, then transfer for short drive in the heart of Kathmandu city and to your hotels.

After checking into your pleasant rooms then join in for group briefing regarding Chulu East Peak Climbing Adventure with other useful information to make your stay in Nepal with us more enjoyable and worth-while.

Evening includes group dinner in a nice Nepalese restaurant with cultural programs as entertainment.

Day 02: In Kathmandu sightseeing tour and preparations for Annapurna Circuit trek.

Morning after breakfast in the hotel, our tour guide will take you in the heart of Kathmandu city, for exciting historical and heritage tour of old Durbar (royal palace and courtyard) square of great importance.

Tour includes Temple of Kumari (Living young virgin Goddess) Kastamandap Temple where Kathmandu name derived from, a temple built with the wood of a single tree, tour of old palace during the reign of Malla and late Shah kings.

Afternoon tour of famous Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath and visit Bouddhanath Stupa, one of the largest dome shaped monument in Asia of Buddhist religion and culture.

After an exciting and interesting tour head back to hotel preparation for Chulu East Peak Climbing Adventure where next early morning takes you on exciting drive to Nepal Mid-West.

Day 03: Drive to Besisar 800 m and to Khudi 930 m - 06 hrs.

Starting wonderful adventure for Chulu East climb with an interesting long drive towards north mid west from Kathmandu, leading past Besisar town (headquarter of Lamjung district). From here transfer to another vehicle for the rough and exciting drive on dirt trail to Khudi village.

A nice village located by the Marysangdi River with sub-tropical temperature with time here to browse around the village market or dip in the river around shallow side of the raging fast flowing river.

Day 04: Trek to Jagat 1,290 m via Syange 1,100m - 06 hrs.

From Khudi our first day walk begins heading towards farm areas past Bulbule and Ngadi following Marysangdi River upstream to reach at Syange village, and then leaving the river behind with climb to Jagat village for overnight stop in a nice lodge, Jagat a small farm village with few good lodges for trekkers.

Day 05: Trek to Dharapani 1,920 m - 05 hours.

From Jagat morning walk starts on winding path to Chamje, and towards Marysangdi River, and into forested area with super views of Annapurna and Manaslu range, walk continues reaching at Tal village located on a nice valley, after Tal Besi few hours walk to Dharapani village for overnight stop.

Dharapani a nice village with Buddhist culture, situated on the junction of Annapurna circuit and Manaslu trekking trail.

Day 06: Trek to Chame 2,670 m - 05 hours.

Starting our morning as walk leads into cool rhododendron and pine forest past villages of Bagachap and Danque, and then climb up to Timang village.

From here onward entering into more Buddhist cultural areas, with super view of Mt. Manaslu 8,163m / 26,781ft, after Timang few hours trek leads to a large town at Chame for overnight stop, a major town and headquarter of Manang district.

Day 07: Trek to Pisang 3, 230 m - 05 hrs.

From here on air gets cooler as walk gets closer to mountain views within serene cool shade of alpine forest with rhododendron and pine trees, following Masrsyangdi River upstream to Bhratang village.

From this village an uphill into pine trees to Dhukure Pokhari, a small place with few lodge and views of Chulu and Pisang peak, after a lunch stop walk downhill to Pisang village for overnight stop. Pisang village located within Manang valley with stunning mountains views as altitude gains for here onwards.

Day 08: Trek to Julu 3,900m past Ngawal village 3657m - 06 hrs.

After overnight in Pisang village, our route splits from main Annapurna trails for some days heading into remote and wild areas above Manang valley towards Chulu East Peak.

As walk leads facing grand views of Annapurna and Chulu peaks, as walk continues higher above Nagawa village, leading towards North West into more arid and dry terrain to reach at Jhulu small village for first camping of the adventure.

Day 09: At Julu village for acclimatization.

Necessary rest day for acclimatization before heading higher elevation as well for adventurous climb on top Chulu East peak, here enjoy views with optional hike around this remote Julu village located high with grand scenery of mountains and of Chulu’s peaks.

Day 10: Trek to Chulu Base Camp at 5,300m -04 hrs.

After a nice and pleasant stop at Julu, morning walk leads higher up towards remote within complete wilderness with views of Chulu’s and northern Annapurna range of mountains.

Climb leads above scenic Manang valley towards Chulu East close to Chulu Far East Peaks, after a tough climb reaching a rocky moraine area on top of a ridge to set our base camp for the climb.

This will be a perfect and ideal spot for base camp beneath towering Chulu East Peak with amazing views of surrounding mountains and dramatic landscapes.

Day 11: Rest day at Base Camp preparation and acclimatization.

At base camp a free day for proper acclimatization and as well to scout the routes for accessible and safe climb to the summit of Chulu East Peak, with rest of the afternoon rest and preparation for next early morning big adventurous climb.

Day 12: Climb of Chulu East and return to base camp.

A strenuous tough climb due to high altitude, as early morning walk follows a faint and vague path where few climbers and Yak herders hardly use this route, climb leads over rocks, ice and glacier to reach at the very bottom of Chulu East Peak.

From this spot walk over snow slopes and to rocky with icy ridge, where steep climb leads you with some technical sections on few areas of the climb to reach at the summit of Chulu East Peak; our expert guide will support you with necessary skill and technique required to reach at the summit top.

After a final ascent reaching on top of Chulu East Peak above 6,584m / 21,601ft high, facing incredible views and panorama of surrounding peaks of Annapurna-Damodar Himal with all of Chulu range of peaks.

Enjoy extreme scenery and descend back to base camp safely and feeling in high spirit and quite tired.

Day 13: Trek to Manang Village 3,450 m - 07 hrs.

After a great climb of Chulu East Peak, feeling high after the conquest of Nepal highest trekking peaks, morning walk leads back to Julu village on route Manang main village.

Morning on gradual walk through farm fields with short uphill overlooking views of Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulu’s and Pisang peak, walk downhill to reach a flat valley at Hongde village, from here onward tree lines fades for barren, arid landscapes with cold, dry arctic climate.

Before Manang, visit old Braga monastery with old Buddhist relics, ancient wall painting and frescos and stunning views of Annapurna Himalaya, from here an hour walk reaches at Manang village, where houses are of traditional Tibetan style with similar culture and traditions.

Day 14: Trek to Yak Kharka 4,110 m - 04 hours.

After Manang, walk towards Yak Kharka, an interesting high altitude walk with views of mountains, crossing small streams to reach at Yak Kharka, a small settlement with incredible views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Chulu Peaks.

Day 15: Trek to Thorang High Camp 4,600 m - 04 hrs.

Morning walk leads closer to Thorang-la as walk progress crossing a bridge and then a climb along the Jarjung River, then leading at Thorang Phedi for short rest and then climb the last hour uphill to Thorang High Camp for overnight stop.

Day 16: Cross Thorang-La 5,416 m and to Muktinath 3,800 m - 06 hrs.

Starting early morning for the Big Day! To reach the highest point of the adventure and highlight, after breakfast a long climb leads to Thorang-la with some steep haul to reach at 5,416 m / 17,700 ft on top Thorang-la festooned with thousands of Buddhist colorful prayer flags.

Thorang-La Pass rewards you with super vista of landscapes and snowcapped peaks, from here a long descend to Muktinath at 3,800 m.

Muktinath a holy place for both Hindu and Buddhist the word Muktinath literally means ‘the place for Nirvana or Liberation’.

Day 17: Drive Jomsom 2, 715 m -02 hrs with free afternoon.

After Muktinath, rest of the journey is easier where trekking completes taking a short drive to with big drop of 1,200m downhill to Kaligandaki river valley to Jomsom headquarter town of Mustang area with a small airstrip above Kaligandaki River.  Afternoon enjoy walks around this charming town with white painted houses, paved streets and well kept lodges. At Jomsom celebrate with local apple products cider, brandy and juice this area from Kagbeni to Larjung is famous for delicious apples.

Day 18: Fly to Pokhara 860m of 22 mins flights with afternoon free.

Early morning transfer to Jomsom air terminal for short flight to scenic Pokhara, during air with super views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range of mountains till plane lands at warm valley in beautiful Pokhara, where hotels are located by its serene Phewa Lake with wonderful views of Annapurna and towering peaks Machhapuchare Himal known as Fish Tail.

Day 19: Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels.

Morning an early drive back to Kathmandu on same interesting highway with exciting moments as drive leads through rural farm villages and towns with views of mountains after six hours journey ending at Kathmandu, and then transfer to your respective hotels.

Day 20: Depart for International flights homeward bound.

Final and last day in Nepal, country of high Himalaya and varied culture, after a memorable experience and great scenic adventure on Chulu East Peak Climbing Adventure, with your time for international flight our staff transfer you to the airport for  homeward bound or to your next port of call and respective destinations.
