Tharpu Chuli-Tent Peak Climbing Adventure within beautiful and most scenic place on earth at Annapurna Sanctuary, truly an exceptional destinations to experience once in your life-time where you will be surrounded by high peaks of great Annapurna Himalaya.

Tharpu Chuli-Tent Peak Climbing Adventure, a lesser mountain of below 6,000 m which is just 5,663 m and 18,575 ft high, a peak of great technical effort to climb and reaching its summit top, one of trekking peaks of Nepal with both names while local and in NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association) listed as Tharpu Chuli, but popularly known with the word Tent due to its shape of a tent, which is clearly seen from Annapurna Sanctuary and base camp which rises beyond sanctuary with rocks and ice face, regarded as tough mountain to tackle.

Grading systems as TD means ‘Technical Difficule’ taken from French and Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification Systems as used world-wide, truly a peak that requires good spirit and courage to battle on route the top of Tharpu Chuli-Tent Peak.

Tharpu Chuli-Tent Peak Climbing one of the shortest duration adventures of less than two week with moderate to adventurous walk to reach the high spot at Annapurna base camp and at the foot of Tent Peak where base camp located above 4,800 m high.

One of the few treks and climb around Himalaya where acclimatization takes place gradually on walks towards higher areas of Annapurna Himalaya with overnights in lovely villages of Chomrong till base camp, and then camping for few nights for the climb of Tent Peak-Tharpu Chuli.

The climb takes place after walking beyond Pokhara valley reaching cooler mid hills and into deep forested areas and following Modi River into a gorge, where soon gorge turns into a wide scenic valley at Annapurna Sanctuary after Machhapuchare base camp.

From the base camp of Annapurna heading into complete wilderness of mountains for classic climb on top stunning Tharpu Chuli-Tent Peak after much preparation and exercise before the climb following our lead and expert guide all the way to summit top and safely back.

After feeling in high spirit with successful climb where our return journey leads on the same route via Bamboo and Chomrong with time at Jhinu and its hot natural spring for refreshing moment then driving back to scenic and magnificent Pokhara by its calm Phewa lake where our memorable experience and exciting journey completes on Tharpu Chuli-Tent Peak Climbing Adventure.

Day 01: Reach Kathmandu 1,345 m and then transfer to respective Hotels

On reaching at Kathmandu international airport received by our representative and guide, then transfer for short drive in the heart of Kathmandu city and to your hotels.

After checking into your pleasant rooms then join in for group briefing regarding Tharpu Chuli-Tent Peak Climbing Adventure and with other useful information to make your stay in Nepal with us more enjoyable and worth-while.

Day 02: In Kathmandu sightseeing tour and preparations for Annapurna trek.

Morning after breakfast in the hotel, our tour guide will take you in the heart of Kathmandu city, for exciting historical and heritage tour of old Durbar (royal palace and courtyard) square of great importance.

Tour includes Temple of Kumari (Living young virgin Goddess) Kastamandap Temple where Kathmandu name derived from, a temple built with the wood of a single tree, tour of old palace during the reign of Malla and late Shah kings.

As tour continues towards famed landmark of Nepal at Swayambhunath Stupa of more than 2,500 years old a Buddhist Chaitya or Stupa, facing all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha, as tour continues towards famed landmark of Nepal at Swayambhunath Stupa of more than 2,500 years old a Buddhist Chaitya or Stupa, facing all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha.

Afternoon tour of famous Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath and visit Bouddhanath Stupa, one of the largest dome shaped monument in Asia of Buddhist religion and culture.

After an exciting and interesting tour head back to hotel preparation for Tharpu Chuli-Tent Peak Climbing Adventure next early morning with exciting drive to Nepal Mid-West.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara 820m (220 k.m) - 06 hrs journey.

Morning exciting drive to Nepal Mid West at Pokhara where journey leads on Nepal most busy and interesting highway, where drive leads for near six hours to reach Pokhara, then transfer to respective hotels by the Phewa Lake, afternoon with time for short walks around the lakeside full of good restaurants-shops-and stores with excellent hotels.

(Options via air 30 minutes of scenic flight to Pokhara from Kathmandu)

Day 04: Drive to Nayapul and at Siwai 1,160 m trek to Ghandruk village 1,960 m- 04 hrs.

After a wonderful stop at scenic Pokhara facing views of Annapurna Himal and Machhapuchare Himal peaks 'Fish Tail', after breakfast drive leads beyond Pokhara valley to start our first day walk.

Drive leads along with grand views of Annapurna past farm villages and towns and then following Modi River upstream to reach at Bhirethati a charming village within Annapurna region, as drive continues for short while to reach at Siwai, a small farm village near Modi River, on the bottom of Ghandruk and Landruk hills, where our first day walk begins following a steep climb on stone steps to reach at nice and interesting Ghandruk, one of the largest Gurung village within Annapurna Himalaya.

At Ghandruk retire in nice local lodge with views of Annapurna South and tips of Machhapuchare Himal, with time to stroll around this fascinating village time permitting visit village small Gurung museum where you can gather information of local culture and custom.

Day 05: Trek to Chomrong 2,170 m - 04 hours.

From here morning walk leads on top of Ghandruk to reach at another Gurung village at Chomrong, where trek climbs on stone steps and into forested area with gradual walk for short while and then heading uphill for an hour to reach at Kimrong village, located on a ridge with few shops and Tea-houses serving as lodge.

After a brief stop downhill into rhododendron and pine forest to reach at Kimrong river valley, a nice scenic area with small farm village, possible lunch stop and then climb up to a ridge on leaving the valley to reach a ridge with few farm houses and series of terrace fields.

Walk leads on gradual winding ups through farm villages to reach on top Chomrong village, where short downhill leads to our overnight stop at Chomrong village, the last permanent Gurung village and the gateway to Annapurna Sanctuary and Base Camp.

Day 06: Trek to Dovan 2,630 m - 06 hrs.

Morning walk downhill to reach a river, crossing over a short bridge with climb up to Sinuwa at 2,360 m high, a small lonely spot with few shops and nice lodges, walk from here leads into cool forested area of oaks-rhododendron and pines trees and then a short steep descend to Bamboo, a small settlement with number of lodges surrounded within bamboo groves situated into a Modi River gorge.

After Bamboo an hour or more of slow climb leads you at Dovan for overnight stop, located within Modi River Gorge with couple of lodges.

Day 07: Trek to MBC 3,700 m (Machhapuchare Base Camp) - 04 hrs. 

After a refreshing overnight stop at Dovan, morning walk enters higher areas within thick forested area to reach at Himalaya Hotel, located beneath Huichuli peak and large overhanging Hinko Cave.

From here downhill to cross an ablation of an old avalanche of rocks and moraine, then a short climb to Deurali for possible lunch stop. From Deurali after a refreshing break heading higher leaving tree lines behind following Modi River upstream all the way to Machhapuchare base camp at 3,700 m high for overnight stop before Annapurna Base Camp, a nice scenic spot located beneath towering Machhapuchare Himal North Face.

Day 08: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp 4,130 m - 03 hrs with free afternoon.

After a pleasant stop at Machhapuchare base camp, a short morning walks of couple of hours to reach a wide plateau within picturesque Annapurna Sanctuary where Annapurna Base Camp located.  From Machhapuchare Base Camp onward starts Annapurna sanctuary.

As walk leads higher ground for few hours and then entering into a scenic sanctuary enclosed within amphitheatre of peaks.

After few hours of pleasant walk brings you to our highest point of the adventure at Annapurna base camp above 4,130 m, the highest spot of the adventure.

Afternoon enjoy views of Annapurna I (8,091m / 26,545ft) Annapurna South (7,219m-23,693ft), Gangapurna (7,455m-24,457ft) and Annapurna III (7,555m-24,787ft), including to Mt. Machhapuchare (Fish-tail) at 6,790 m stretches up towards Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli and Fluted Peaks or Singu Chuli.

Day 09: Trek to Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli Base Camp 4,450 m / 14,600 ft - 06 hrs.

From Annapurna Base Camp our route leads across snow, moraine on rocky path towards icy and faint path for an hour to reach Annapurna south glacier.

Walk with short climb facing views of Tent peak with other high mountains, after few hours of good trek reaching a flat ground to set our base camp with first night camping, afternoon free for climbing preparation.

Day 10: At Tent Peak base camp rest day and preparations.

Proper acclimatization and as well for final preparation for the climb, getting busy sorting out right gear and equipment for the climb, while our guide will survey the route of climb to make more accessible to reach the summit and safely back.

Day 11: Climb Tharpu Chuli / Tent Peak and descend to base camp.

Starting our big day climb to Tent Peak then coping with technical route to its summit top, from base camp heading further with steep climb over rock and glacier with lot of boulders, climb continues reaching at 5,200 meters high.

From here climb over steep snow slope with some technical section to reach summit top; where our expert guide will fix ropes on necessary section of the climb to make it safe to reach the summit, after a tough and hard climb reaching at the top feeling in high spirit with amazing views that surrounds the summit.  After a great time on top with awesome scenery descend back safely to base camp.

Day 12: Walk to Machhapuchare Base Camp 3,700 m - 06 hrs. 

From Tent Peak base camp after breakfast and cleaning up the base camp walk leads back at Annapurna Base Camp on icy trail, a normal moderate walk of about five hours and then continue descend to Machhapuchare Base Camp for overnight stop in the comfort of nice lodge.

Day 13: Trek back to Bamboo 2,310 m - 06 hrs.

After a fantastic time on climb of Tharpu Chuli / Tent Peak with super views retrace the journey back on downhill into trees with few short ups to reach at Bamboo for overnight stop.

Day 14: Trek to Jhinu Danda (hot-spring) 1,780 m - 05 hrs.

From Bamboo on leaving Modi River gorge climb leads up to Khuldi-Ghar into forested area, and then a short gradual walk to Sinuwa danda, from here descend to Chomrong River, and then climb on steps to Chomrong for lunch stop.

After Chomrong a short climb to the top ridge and then changing our direction from here with an alternative route to reach Pokhara, a short downhill walk brings at scenic and lovely Jhinu village for overnight stop, located on a ridge top with views of surrounding landscapes and rolling green hills. A short descend of 25 minutes reaches you at hot-spring by the Modi River.

Day 15: Trek to Siwai and drive to Pokhara - 04 hrs walks and 2 hrs drive.

After a pleasant overnight stop at Jhinu village where morning and our last day walk leads downhill on stone steps to reach back at Siwai on the road-head, where an exciting drive takes you back at Pokhara after a great and wonderful time up in the high mountains.

Day 16: Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels.

Morning an early drive back to Kathmandu on same interesting highway with exciting moments as drive leads through rural farm villages and towns with views of mountains after six hours journey ending at Kathmandu, and then transfer to your respective hotels.

Day 17: In Kathmandu for individual activities and optional tour.

In Kathmandu reserved this extra day for you to enjoy individual activities and shopping souvenirs or join in another exciting tour around Kathmandu-Patan / Lalitpur and Bhaktapur of great interest.

Day 18: Depart for International flights homeward bound.

Final and last day in Nepal, country of high Himalaya and varied culture, after a memorable experience and great scenic adventure on Tharpu Chuli-Tent Peak Climbing Adventure, with your time for international flight our staff transfer you to the airport for  homeward bound or to your next port of call and respective destinations.
